10X supports the Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Career Guidance

10X Challenge supports schools to evidence provision of Good Career Guidance against the Gatsby Benchmarks. All Young Enterprise programmes encourage the development of an enterprise mindset and approach needed in both education and employment for all young people to reach their potential.

By taking part in the 10X Challenge you have the chance to request a meaningful encounter with employers or employees and help young people to build a broader understanding of the workplace. This experience can motivate your students to find out more about the skills required to make successful transitions to the next stage of their life.

10X develops young people’s financial capability

10X Challenge supports schools to develop the financial capability of young people by helping them understand the important role money plays in business and our everyday lives. Participation in the 10X Challenge teaches young people to manage money well and make wise financial choices for their business, while at the same time equipping them the knowledge, skills and confidence to responsibly manage their own money now and in the future.

10X Challenge supports a range of financial education learning outcomes from the Financial Education Planning Framework, including:

  • Making financial decisions: Students understand that their concept of value for money may be affected by their personal preferences and attitudes to factors such as buying local, fair trade and ethical trading.
  • Planning and budgeting: Students can plan and budget for their current and future saving and spending, and show they can take a pro-active approach to managing their money by tracking their finances and adapting plans if circumstances change.
  • Personal and economic links with the wider world: Students understand some of the social, moral, ethical and environmental implications of their financial decisions and those made by government, charities and businesses.
